Meet Warmup, then...

RACE DAY!!

Today we went the following:

1 x 100 RACE- make it count! Focus on being aggressive, taking a chance somewhere in this race- you're trying to swim your way into Finals!
8 minutes of active recovery- keep it moving with some sharp drilling, skulling, etc..

1 x 100 RACE again- what do you have to do to be faster than your first 100?? Think of this as a "swim-off!"
8 minutes active recovery, again- keep it moving

1 x 175 RACE, trying to be better than your 200 Goal Time
8 minutes of active recovery

DISTANCE GROUP-
Go 150's instead of 100's, then go 1 x 300 instead of 175; same idea, make these count, do get sloppy with your skills.

Everybody finish up with...
4 x 50 RACE from a dive @ 3:00- can change strokes after 2 (can go 6 x 50 if you have the time)

Warmdown the same 8 minutes of active recovery before you leave (we have to get accustomed to warming down better than we have been). Do an excellent job in school today, and remember, the St. James group is swimming at CM on Sunday (NOT at St. James) from 10-12 noon. Have a great day!
